Building Better
Communities has started a program called Community Connection. It
is an innovative component of BBC’s vision of Rebuilding Hope… One
Person at a Time. The focus is to help families trying to cope
through difficult circumstances and facing the many challenges &
obstacles while achieving the quality of life they desire and once had.
Our aim is to bridge the communication gap
between communities and organizations such as BBC helping during the
rebuilding the process within the Greater New Orleans area. Community
Connection’s areas of support consist of networking, information,
resources, & supportive services.

Over the last ten months, BBC has
partnered with CrossRoads Missions, Operation
Blessing, Operation Nehemiah, Bywater Ministry(9th
Ward), Bayou La Batre Recovery Project, &
Healthy Start of New Orleans where we have impacted thousands of families along the Gulf Coast.
BBC has developed a holistic model that
provides the necessary support systems during this critical period of
rebuilding communities, infrastructures, and families. BBC has expanded and
has become more focused on achieving the missions set forth:
Translate our knowledge of information and
resources into greater community knowledge and awareness. BBC is committed
to sharing the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To achieve this
mission, the specific goals of our organization are:

Raise awareness of BBC and its availability as a
resource for information and support by meeting spiritual, emotional, and
physical needs.
Ÿ
Cultivate relationships with community organizations,
community churches, and the families we serve.
Ÿ
Connect the community with resources, information, and
support.
Ÿ
Counselors interview and assess the needs of the
clients. Counselors will follow-up with the clients and make
recommendations within BBC’s scope of services and resources to meet
their needs.
